Stephen Sondheim's Into The Woods

Only the great Stephen Sondheim would take on the challenge of turning a half-dozen well-known fairy tales into a Broadway musical. The results were memorable: an offbeat plot typical of Sondheim (author of Sweeney Todd and Assassins) that weaves the familiar fairy tales together, accompanied by a gorgeous and compelling score. The Tony-winning show was revived on Broadway in June and is running there now.
