The F.M. Kirby Center has announced their lineup for the 2022-2023 Signature Series presented by Geisinger.  After a two year hiatus from the program, the F.M. Kirby Center remains committed to improving access to the cultural arts through their annual series, which includes professional touring companies for Shakespeare, music, modern dance, ballet and more.  Tickets are just $10 and go on sale today.

“The F.M. Kirby Center has long been bringing the arts to our community, and in an effort to bring the community to the arts, all tickets are set at just $10,” said Kirby Center Executive Director Joell Yarmel. “We are able to offer a more affordable ticket to this series thanks to many donors throughout our community and specifically our new Presenting Sponsor of the Signature Series, Geisinger. Our hopes are that families will come out and enjoy a night of culture and arts together!”

An Evening of Irish Music & Dance with Darrah Carr – Tuesday, February 14, 2023 7:00 p.m.
Shakespeare in Jazz by Daniel Kelly – Thursday, March 2, 2023 7:00 p.m.
Bindlestiff Family Cirkus – Thursday, March 23, 2023 7:00 p.m.
The Magic of Bill Blagg Live! – Tuesday, May 16, 2023 7:00 p.m.

Tickets for all four shows go on sale today, Wednesday, October 5 at 11:00 a.m. and are available online at kirbycenter.org, at the Kirby Center Box Office and charge by phone at 570-826-1100.

Since 1998, the Bessie Award nominated company DARRAH CARR DANCE has created a sensational and unique blend of traditional Irish step and contemporary dance. The company draws from Irish music, step dance footwork, and spatial patterns to create high-energy, rhythmically based work that is accessible to a broad audience.

An artist who has been called “stunningly original” with “a visionary imagination,” composer and pianist Daniel Kelly explores the meeting place of music with literature, visual art and journalism, captivating audiences across the country. A prolific composer and tireless musical explorer, Kelly continually seeks out new avenues for his creativity. SHAKESPEARE IN JAZZ is Kelly’s interpretation of Shakespeare’s works into fresh and dynamic jazz songs that have audiences singing along in sheer delight.

Since 1995, BINDLESTIFF FAMILY CIRKUS co-founders Stephanie Monseu and Keith Nelson have traveled the world, bringing a unique hybrid of vaudeville, circus and sideshow spectacle to theaters, clubs, colleges, and festivals. An evening of jugglers, acrobats, contortionists, plate spinning, sword swallowing, brain twisters and other risk-taking feats set to live music, combine to create an interactive evening of fun for the entire family.

Bill Blagg’s show combines his mind-blowing magical talents along with his trademark off-the-cuff personality to take you on a magical journey you’ll never forget!  You’ll witness objects float in mid-air, vanish in the blink of an eye and so much more!  The MAGIC of BILL BLAGG LIVE! is more than a magic show, it’s an interactive magic experience!
