Happy Hour to Celebrate 100 Days to Wyoming Valley Run

The Wyoming Valley Run Presented by Allied Services is drumming up excitement for the upcoming race with a happy hour at Mohegan Pennsylvania in Wilkes-Barre. The event will be on Friday, May 26, 2023, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.

The happy hour will be at Embers Terrace, Mohegan Pennsylvania’s new outdoor bar area. The event will mark 100 days until the big race, which is slated for Sunday, September 3, 2023. The public is welcome to come learn more about the race and connect with other local runners. Food and drink specials will be available, including $5 Tito’s and $4 beers.

Attendees can show their race registration for a chance to win a $50 gift card from Valley Running Company in Forty Fort. Two lucky winners will be chosen.

Registration is currently open for runners, walkers and handcyclists at Registration is $70 through May 31 and increases to $80 on June 1.

The Wyoming Valley Run previously hosted a launch event in February and a group run in March to raise awareness about the race. Another group run will be announced for mid-June.

The Wyoming Valley Run Presented by Allied Services is a 10-mile race to be held on Sunday, September 3, 2023. Dubbed “NEPA’s flattest and fastest inclusive road race,” the course begins in downtown Pittston, follows Wyoming Avenue and finishes on Public Square in Wilkes-Barre. The race will benefit five local charities: Camp Freedom, Candy’s Place, Northeast Sight Services, Shop With a Cop and the Wilkes-Barre Special Needs Playground Project.
